Physics databases

Astrophysics Source Code Library (ASCL.net)
Database with free registration and source codes of interest to astronomers and astrophysicists; it lists the codes used in research appearing in peer reviewed publications. ASCL is indexed by the NASA Astrophysics Data System (ADS) and by Web of Science and is citable utilising the univocal ASCL ID assigned to each code.

CERN Open Data
Archive of the data produced from the research carried out at CERN, referable to particle physics. It disseminates the results stored by various research activities relating to various projects, including the datasets, software and accompanying documentation necessary for understanding and analysing the shared data.

European VLBI Network Data Archive
EVN, an interferometric array of radio telescopes situated mainly in Europa and in Asia but also in South Africa and Puerto Rico, carries out high-resolution observations of cosmic radio sources. The archive contains images, scientific data, and structured texts and graphics that as a rule enter into the public domain after a year.

Gran Telescopio CANARIAS (GTC) Public Archive
This data server provides access to the archive of the research of the GTC in which the data (images, raw data, structured texts, audiovisuals) enter the public domain a year after being deposited. Project with the participation of the European Union.

High Energy Astrophysics Science Archive Research Center (HEASARC)
Astronomy archive that holds the data of 25 observatories covering over 30 years of X-ray, extreme ultraviolet and gamma ray astronomy. The data collected are of varying nature and include raw scientific and structured data, audiovisuals, images and structured graphics.

High Energy Physics Database (HEPData)
Open access archive for the dissemination of experimental particle physics data connected to thousands of publications, including those of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). Founded by CERN and co-managed with the Institute for Particle Physics Phenomenology of Durham University, HEPData is based on the collection of research data over 25 years.

INSPIRE
Open access archive of particle physics which collects results produced by research institutes from all over the world. It constitutes the updated version of the SPIRES database (curated by DESY, Fermilab and SLAC and now combined with the digital library Invenio, developed at CERN), in collaboration with arXiv.org, NASA-ADS, PDG and other HEP (High Energy Physics) resources.
Journal articles, preprints, technical reports, conference proceedings and theses are indexed in the database. In addition to the links to the full text (through e-print server or editorial site), references and citations, the bibliographical records include links to the additional services such as information regarding conferences and the data of the experiments associated with the indexed document.

InterNano Manufacturing Library
Database accessible to the public in the nanomanufacturing; it hosts research output, government reports, outreach documents and high-specialisation teaching materials

INTErnational Gamma-Ray Astrophysics Laboratory (INTEGRAL) Data Archives
This site gathers together various services that provide access to the data of the INTEGRAL Mission, the international Gamma Ray Astrophysics laboratory of the European Space Agency that detects some of the most energetic radiations coming from space. INTEGRAL is an ESA mission in collaboration with Russia and the United States.

International Network of Nuclear Reaction Data Centres (NRDC)
NRDC is a worldwide collaboration of nuclear data center under the aegis of the International Atomic Energy Agency. The network was set up to co-ordinate the collection, compilation and worldwide dissemination of the data on nuclear reactions. Research interface.

Materials Cloud Archive (MCA)
MCA is a research data archive relating to the areas of computational materials science and experimental materials science relevant to simulations. The data are managed in accordance with FAIR principles and in coherence with long-term conservation policies.

Mathematical Physics Pre-print Archive (mp_arc)
Open access archive of research paper in the field of mathematical physics and correlated areas. Chronological cover: 1991-the present.

National Aeronautics and Space Administration / Astrophysics Data System (NASA/ADS)
Managed by the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory with funding from NASA, this digital library portal for researchers covers publications of Astronomy, Astrophysics, Physics and general sciences, including all the arXiv pre-prints.
Abstract and full text texts of the main publications are indexed and consultable via the three different research modules. Besides keeping track of the citations and the use of its records, ADS provides access and pointers to a vast range of external resources, including online articles available on editors' web sites, information regarding astronomical objects, data catalogues and sets of data hosted by external archives.

SCOAP3 Repository
Open access archive that indexes and makes accessible via DOI from the moment of their publication all particle physics articles funded within the SCOAP3 (Sponsoring Consortium for Open Access Publishing in Particle Physics) project published in participating journals. The articles, available in various formats (PDF, PDF/A and XML) are published with a CC-BY licence (or CC0) and so they can be freely downloaded and disseminated.

Springer Lecture notes in physics
Access to all the volumes published from 2005 onwards belonging to the series "Lecture notes in physics".
