Workflow for publishing in open accessFor hybrid journals, upon acceptance of the article, the publisher identifies the affiliation of the corresponding author on the Wiley Author Services by means of the Ringgold Identifier system, verifying the declaration of affiliation and the SNS e-mail address (@sns.it) inserted and registered at the submission
stage of the contribution. The affiliation is verified and validated by the referents of the Scuola Normale.

For “Gold Open Access” journals when a manuscript has been submitted it will be uploaded to the Wiley platform but the affiliation of the corresponding author will be verified and validated by the referents of the Scuola Normale only when it will be accepted for publication by the journal. So the tokens for “Gold Open Access” articles will be deducted from the annual fund only after the articles have been approved for publication.

The validation of the corresponding author takes into account the date of acceptance of the article on the part of the publisher independently of the date of the first submission.
APCs coverThe contract does not include a pre-established distribution of the APCs among the subscribing institutions. The APCs are progressively used up until the number available at national level is exhausted.

duration of twelve (12) months.
